My laptop died on me in the evening of 31th of May. Just some strange noises, a total system freeze and the message "Primary Hard Disk Drive 0 falioure" on trial to boot again.

I called Dell technical support yesterday, 1st of june, and today I had a new hdd delivered on my door. Sad that it happened, but can't complain about the support when it first did.

As for the data, a reminder to why it is wise to take regular backups. My prefered methode is using the utility "rsync".
