PHP Guru

HTML Mime Mail 5 24th January 2005 It's upgradin' time! With the advent of PHP5 cometh a whole new era of rewriting old classes to make use of the new object system. Perhaps in many cases, for no great reason other than to make use of the new object system. Fun though. So, in true "pointless upgrade" style, I've upgraded the ever popular HTML Mime Mail class to use the PHP5 object system. Yes, it's a bit of a pants name, but such is life. This article is going to document the new version, now called, htmlMimeMail5. Cute huh? 5 Comments... Owww.... 20th January 2005 A friend of mine sent me this link on news.bbc.co.uk about a 17lb, giant baby. Ouch! Thats gotta make your eyes water. Having another friend who's currently pregnant, I naturally immediately forwarded it on... 0 Comments... Noo Sight... 15th January 2005 So. New design. How do you like that huh? Well, I ain't fussed if you don't. Nothing quite like a new design to spice up a website. That and an RSS feed. Enjoy. Course, being rather drunk right now, there might be a few issues... :/ Update: Surprisingly, no issues. Note to self: code drunk more often. Also, got listed on http://www.planet-php.net. Guess I better start putting some effort in then... 0 Comments... Caching with PHP5 14th January 2005 New code, new article. Some PHP5 only caching code, and a short article on how to use it. Caching is good, caching will improve your sites performance and most importantly, caching will get you hot chicks. 0 Comments...

PHP Help

About PhpHelp.com The guiding principles of phphelp.com are * To educate our visitors: to avoid just handing out answers or code solutions without visitors learning anything. * To accept that all people are beginners at one time; treat our visitors as we would want to be treated: without arrogance or contempt for people who have yet to learn what the more expert have. * To explore the world of web applications development from the perspective of the beginner. * To offer a continuous transition from beginner to advanced development abilities: beginners should not be left stranded. * To achieve our goals through the PHP language, the most widely used open source programming language intended for embedding in web pages. * To provide a community of learners and experts for asking questions and providing answers to web applications development in the PHP language. Why choose PHP? PHP is an ideal language for the beginning web programmer to learn the basics of dynamic page generation, user interaction and database connectivity Moreover, PHP is simple enough to get started with web programming and complex enough to do serious work later on. Perl is a favorite language, but for me, PHP is easier to understand and program web pages in.
